My morning stack this season 2025
This is my morning routine this season. My morning “stack”. The things that when done stack the day in my favorite. You can’t control everything, but some things move you massively in a positive or negative direction.
Rise and shine!
Wake up. Make the bed. Take a cold shower. Brush my hair. Shave. Brush my teeth. Make LMNT and Athletic greens drinking them throughout the rest of the morning. Go outside to see the sun and light. Morning priming/meditation. Walk the dog. Put food and water in dog’s bowls. Throw ball with dog and do training.
Dive the plan!…
Then I go to the calendar for the plan. I prepped the plan yesterday, so today is execution. Whatever that means today. I have been wondering what life would look like if I could complete the most important thing set out for the day by 1pm. Done by one. What would life look like in 365 days of moving the ball forward.
The plan could change. The point of the stack and system is to build up the repetition and establish the muscle of sharpening the saw, so that action throughout the rest of the day is improved. If I do these things I’m getting my instrumentation and internal faculties up and online, oriented in a particular way and vibration.
If I don’t sleep well, or otherwise don’t feel great I can opt for less creative work and lean into the things that are just chopping the wood, or carrying the water.
Mikey musemuci said once that he was “grateful for the opportunity to sacrifice”. I love that. I am too. I’m grateful for the opportunity to sacrifice and put in the effort. Put in the work. To me it’s a worthwhile aim to set out to live an extraordinary life. To live life on my terms, whatever that may be in that season.
This morning routine helps me to stack the odds in my favor. I can’t control everything. There is a lot I can do to stack the deck in my favor. This is my stack.
